HANDS UP FOR AFRICA 2010

A group of AMAZING, brave, selfless individuals began their boxing careers on 18 January 2010, when (for some reason) they decided it would be a good idea to sign up for Ricky Hatton/David Haye/Floyd Mayweather style boxing training 3 times a week for 10 weeks. Not 3 or 4 weeks, TEN WEEKS!

Under the ruthless guidance of former boxers turned coaches/GURUS from Fitzroy Lodge, one of Britain's most famous, respected and successful Amateur boxing clubs, these girls and guys have VOLUNTEERED to literally put their hands up (and chins down) for children in Africa. On Saturday, 27 March 2010 at the 5 star Grange Hotel in St Paul's, they will step into the ring and show you just what they're made of, as they go toe to toe to see who really has The Eye of the Tiger...

FIGHTING CHILD POVERTY... one punch at a time!
